FOUNDATION
Peace Roots is an arts activator music intensive for youth to explore advocacy within authentic expression. 8-10 exceptional youth residents of Far Northeast Denver (Montbello & Green Valley Ranch) and Aurora between the ages of (16-25) will receive intensive coaching on love centered leadership, music & arts marketing techniques, as well as community organizing experience.
Through weekly peer learning workshops and mentorship in the summer, cohort members will develop artistic facilitation skills to become peace advocates in their respective communities. Foundational concepts will include practicing self awareness, exploring creative courage, and building transformative relationships. Participants will be paid a $500 participation stipend, with potential to earn more through incentive based compensation. ALL ART FORMS are encouraged to apply (culinary, music, martial arts, poets, herbalism, visual arts, dance, contemporary, etc).
